FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 4 March 2025

Paris, France: Uplift360 today announced a groundbreaking achievement in advanced materials recycling; the effective use of a proprietary chemical process to dissolve and re-spin para-aramid fibres (commercially known as Kevlar® and Twaron®) into continuous, high-performance fibres. In recent scale-up trials, the company, in collaboration with key partners, successfully spun a continuous fibre several hundred metres in length.

This is a major milestone that validates Uplift360’s mission “to revolutionise advanced materials through sustainable, cost-effective solutions that ensure long-term resource security.”

Our chemical recycling technology uses a unique non-sulfuric acid solvent system that is commercially available and recyclable. By converting waste aramids into a liquid and then into continuous fibres through dry-jet wet spinning, Uplift360 are not only recovering immense economic value but also creating a fully circular regenerated fibre market. Our goal is to reach close to virgin strength materials, with this breakthrough our initial fibres are suitable to be used and blended with virgin materials dramatically reducing landfill waste and CO₂ emissions.

Quotes

Our breakthrough technology uses a unique, non-sulfuric acid solvent that is both commercially recyclable and highly effective,” explained Jamie Meighan, Co-Founder of Uplift360.

This innovation addresses both critical supply chain vulnerabilities and the environmental impact of high-value material waste.” Sam Staincliffe, Co-Founder.

Data

Over 100,000 tonnes of aramid are produced globally each year, with production contributing an estimated 1.27 million tonnes of CO₂e. Para-aramid fibres—priced at nearly €100 per kilogram and costing up to 80–85 times more than steel—are essential in high-performance applications including defence equipment, protective gear, aerospace and automotive components, as well as industrial products such as ropes, cables, and

tires. Yet, due to their secure and complex nature, the majority of aramid waste is currently destined for landfill or incineration, representing a colossal waste of value.

Why Now?

In today’s volatile geopolitical climate, ensuring secure material supply chains and achieving self-reliance are paramount across the EU. Simultaneously, sweeping regulatory initiatives—including the EU Green Deal, Circular Economy Action Plan, Enhanced Producer Responsibility, new waste disposal laws, and the forthcoming Circular Economy Act—are driving urgent innovation in resource recovery. Uplift360’s breakthrough not only addresses these challenges but also positions the para-aramid recycling market for a sustainable, resilient future.

Recent Milestones & Future Initiatives:

· Series A Fundraising: Launched today (4 March 2025) to accelerate scale-up and commercial deployment of both this technology and their resin removal system.

· European Defence Collaboration: Selected to collaborate in key European Defence projects led in 2025.

· Government Backing: Recognised as a rising innovator in Luxembourg by EU Startups and supported by the Luxembourg Government, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Economy.

Uplift360 is actively partnering with advanced material manufacturers, chemical resin producers, experts in defence, aerospace, automotive, and waste management to ensure that these valuable materials never become waste. This breakthrough paves the way for a new era in circular advanced materials, unlocking significant economic, environmental, and security benefits.

About Uplift360: Uplift360 is an international chemical recycling company at the forefront of advanced material circular economics.
